What Did You Like Best About Japan And Your Time There?
The city of Fukuoka was amazing itself. It reminded me of NYC. So there was a lot to see and it was never boring. The thing I liked best about Japan was the people. They were so friendly. They also took pride in themselves as well as what they did as a job.
What About The Fukuoka Marathon Course - Good And Bad
The course was perfect, but the weather is the only thing that made the race difficult. This year it was windy the whole way, but at least it didn’t rain. As far as actually running the race, everything went great. The crowds were great as well. There were some characters out there that kept me entertained.
After Your First Marathon, What Do You Feel About The Distance And Your Future?
I feel like I was born for this distance. This marathon felt like a long tempo run. I just believe I am a different animal with an amazing energy system. I had a lot left at the end, due to the fact I played it safe and didn’t push in the beginning. I am more than confident that I will run under 2:11 my next time out as long as everything else goes right. As my future in the distance, again, I believe the sky is the limit. I can see myself as 2:07 to 2:08 guy.
