August 06, 2021

Paul Chelimo scored his second Olympic medal with a thrilling dive to the track to secure the Bronze medal in the 5,000-meters at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics Games.

Chelimo posted his second fastest career time with his mark of 12:59.05, which broke the American Olympic 5,000m record, previously held by himself with his 13:03.90 from Rio 2016.

His medal winning performance makes him the only American to ever win two Olympic medals in the 5,000m.
